Andy Stanley, to my surprise, didn’t side step the stories in the Old Testament that people use to argue God as a judgmental and cruel God but instead used them to explain God’s Grace. He showed through scripture that God prefers to execute Grace and not judgment. He challenges the concept that relationship with God is dependent on our ability to follow the do’s and don’ts of Christianity. He argues that God establishes relationships before laws are ever given and at the heart of Christianity is simplistic Grace.</p> <p><em>The Grace of God</em> is educational, well written, and easy to read. Andy Stanley captures your attention throughout the whole book by not just explaining Grace but teaching it in such a way that it pulls the Old Testament and New Testament together. It wasn’t just challenging to me but brought my salvation, my relationship with God, my life, and my identity as a follower of Christ into a new light. I absolutely loved this book and feel everyone should read it.
