I want to fast, but I’ve never done it before..?

In your experience…how long?  Only water?  Absolute fast?  Just give me any and all information/knowledge you have..I’d certainly appreciate it.

It doesn’t allow you to comment much, but I do recommend you read “Fasting” by Jentezen Franklin.

According to his book, fasting should always be food. Now I am no expert on fasting and fairly new to practice myself but I do know this. Fasting helps you tune into God’s voice and you must pray and read your Bible. If you just do not eat and do not pray and read then you are dieting not fasting!

Also, remember to set realistic fasts! Do not say you are going to do a daniel diet of 21 days of water and vegetables when you have never fasted before. Build up to the bigger fasts and remember there is no condemnation in fasting! If you break it, try again.
