to die with a Racists heart…

I am going to address an issue that highly bothers me but seems faux pas to even talk about! It’s not going to flow smoothly and going to be hard to hit everything. I pray that as you read this God will open your eyes to the truth!

In the early 1900s there was a man who had this idea that the world would be better if it consisted only of blond haired, blue eyed people! His hatred of the Jews escalated into a massive genocide of a nationality of people; all by a man who claimed to be “Christian”. Now I am not even going to try to guess his reasoning but to pose these questions: Was Hitler a Christian? Which aspect made Hitler a bad man, his prejudice of the Jews or the actions he took by attempting to kill them all? Which action would keep him from Heaven?

Galatians 3:28 (NIV)

There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Matthew 22:36-39 (NIV)

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

John 14:23-24 (NIV)

“Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.”

James 2:10 (NIV)

“For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.”

Racism unfortunately still remains today, and RIDICULOUSLY in the Church! This is absolutely absurd, how a “Christian” can say he loves God but yet hates another man because of skin color! Brothers and Sisters I am telling you that Hell will welcome you with open arms if you perish with hate in your heart! 1 John 2:9 says, “Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in darkness.” Now I am not God, but His word commands me to Love. For God created man in His image and His likeness (Gen 1:26)! For me to hate a black man is saying God I hate a part of you!

Matthew 5:21-26 (Amplified Bible)

“You have heard that it was said to the men of old, You shall not kill, and whoever kills shall be liable to and unable to escape the punishment imposed by the court. But I say to you that everyone who continues to be angry with his brother or harbors malice (enmity of heart) against him shall be liable to and unable to escape the punishment imposed by the court; and whoever speaks contemptuously and insultingly to his brother shall be liable to and unable to escape the punishment imposed by the Sanhedrin, and whoever says, You cursed fool! [You empty-headed idiot!] shall be liable to and unable to escape the hell (Gehenna) of fire. So if when you are offering your gift at the altar you there remember that your brother has any [grievance] against you, Leave your gift at the altar and go. First make peace with your brother, and then come back and present your gift. Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you are on the way traveling with him, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison. Truly I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last fraction of a penny.”

I am going to point out how Ignorant racism is!

From what I have witnessed growing up is whites are racists not because anything that was done to them but because it was their culture. I grew up hearing Blacks and Mexicans are taking all the jobs! It is getting hard for a white man to make it in America. It was Blacks this, Mexicans that but nothing was EVER a direct issue. I can only assume my family was like that because their parents were like that and their parents were like that because their parents were! So it is a “tradition” of hate being passed down from generation to generation.

Now racism isn’t only a white problem, blacks are racist too! I have seen kids call white adults crackers and they do not even know what their saying!

Prime example: Melissa is teaching at a Title 1 school, all black class, and she had a student tell her that their family doesn’t like white people! Melissa responded, that she loved her and pointed out she was white. The little girl replied, you’re not white and I love you too!

Another is: A young boy in her class raised his hand and said I bet your not voting for Obama? Melissa said why do assume that? He replied because you white! This is 1st grade! This just proves my point!! These kids are not old enough to experience or at least recognize racism. They are getting this mind set, they don’t understand, from their parents and grandparents.

So here is what is happening. The minorities are crying out for equal rights and the end of racism but at the same time they are passing these traditions of hate down to the next generation! They are working against themselves in achieving a society free of racism! The ONLY ones left on this earth that have direct issues, desegregation, are the older generations and the very thing they fought for, that Martin Luther King Jr. died for is being negated by their own hatred!

While I am on subject, racism amongst your own race is just as bad! Dark skinned blacks disliking light skinned blacks! Whites looking down upon lower class whites! SIN!

Some questions to ask yourself:

1)  Why do you hate Blacks, Whites, Mexicans, Chinese, Japanese, Middle Eastern people, Indians, or Jews?

a.       Is it something that “they” did directly to you?

b.      Is it because what your parents, friends, grandparents have said over the years?

I bet most of you, the answer is b. You do not have a good reason for your “hatred” but you have been conditioned to believe blacks are bad or whites are bad! It is a “tradition” that has been passed down to you!

Here is what it boils down to. Whites hate blacks because they were told to. Blacks hate whites because they were told to! Come on people think for yourselves! You can be whatever, whoever, you want to be no matter what color your skin is! Some might have to overcome a few more hurdles but that is NO EXCUSE! You are letting these traditions put you on a fast track towards Hell! Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we are commanded to love one another and if you love Jesus you will follow His teachings, John 14:23-24. In Christ there is no skin color, we are all just “dumb” sheep looking/listening for our shepherd…JESUS!

Colossians 3:10-14 (NIV)

and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

The first step to overcoming is recognizing you have racism/hatred in your heart! Once you have identified the problem you can then work towards the solution…JESUS! It is not going to be easy to change your mindset, your way of thinking, and possibly your way of living! It will take work and you getting out of your comfort zone. But if you Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind and truly want to overcome he is faithful to see you through! For racism is not His will and therefore He will help you get rid of it! Just repent of the sin and ask God to remove it from your heart!

1 John 5:14-16 says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will. He hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked Him.

For those who have been directly persecuted for your skin color and justify your sin…I mean hatred because of those few individuals? Why do you stereotype the whole race because of a few ignorant people?

Matthew 18:21-22 (NIV)

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”

You have to forgive them if you want to enter the Kingdom of Heaven! It is NOT an option!

Matthew 6:15 (NIV)

But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
