Those in need…

Matthew 25:35-40 (NIV)

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,  I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me,  I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you,  or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in,  or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine,  you did for me.”

For $30 - $35 a month, for us couples that is pretty much a meal a month nowadays you can sponsor a child, helping to provide them with clean water, nutritious food, health care, education, and more! In addition to this www.worldvision.org gives them the gospel and our donations help shows God’s love by providing them critical resources for survival! It isn’t much, but if you do not like monthly commitments they do have one time donations, purchasing them goats(food), chickens, soccer balls, basketballs, clothes, dairy cows, etc!

For the majority of us in America, we are so blessed and we tend to think of only ourselves and those closest to us. Think outside the box and realize, a minimal sacrifice for some of us means be a HUGE blessing to others!

I know for some they would prefer to give to American families that are in need. World Vision reaches out to Americans living in poverty as well. http://donate.worldvision.org/OA_HTML/xxwv2ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=10369&go=section&
