Which is more important: Jesus or Heaven?
What is it that drives you as a Christian? What is it you worry about? Do you ask yourself can I do “____” and still go to Heaven? Do you worry more about overcoming your sin/struggles or your relationship with Christ? Do you sin and then feel unworthy to praise God or go to church? What is the greater: To be able to have an intimate relationship with the King of Kings, God of the Universe,...

“Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” Lamentations 3:23 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 We are not called to perfection! James 2:14-17 “What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by...

condition of the Heart...
Someone pointed out to me that it might be due to my age but my view on racism was an oversimplification of the problem. It was pointed out that some people had to drive 60mi to work because jobs in town only would hire minorities and that businesses are afraid to discipline minorities for poor performance due to lawsuits and discrimination charges. I have seen a couple of cases of this. I worked...

to die with a Racists heart...
I am going to address an issue that highly bothers me but seems faux pas to even talk about! It’s not going to flow smoothly and going to be hard to hit everything. I pray that as you read this God will open your eyes to the truth! In the early 1900s there was a man who had this idea that the world would be better if it consisted only of blond haired, blue eyed people! His hatred of the Jews...

Obama Tells Blacks 'No Excuses' at NAACP
…”We have to say to our children, `Yes, if you’re African-American, the odds of growing up amid crime and gangs are higher. Yes, if you live in a poor neighborhood, you will face challenges that somebody in a wealthy suburb does not have to face,” Obama said, returning to his tough-love message familiar from his two-year presidential campaign. “But that’s not a...

Colossians 3:5-10 (NLT) So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to...

Williams Carey- Missionary to India
This is a repost from Voice of the Martyrs. “They just can’t do this,” exclaimed William. “Can’t you see how wrong it is?” “Look, most of the people in this town think it’s the right thing to do,” replied the exasperated government official. “It’s part of their religion.” William questioned, “How is tying a living woman to her dead husband and burning them together the right thing to do?” With...

One of Satan's Greatest Tools!
Discontentment is one of Satan’s greatest tools! Fall of Lucifer – Discontent Satan was discontent with who he was, the authority he had, and felt he was above God!! “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.” 1 Tim 6:17-18

Things that DO NOT work...
I think back to when I was in college and we had this “minister” preaching on campus between the wig and student union building. All I remember about him is he called everyone a sinner, whore, or whoremonger. He call the president of the BCM a whore for wearing pants! Oh yeah, he said he used to sin…after a minute intro he then said he went to the movies. I NEVER remember him...
